Reverse engineering is an essential skill for anyone who works with 3D scans, because 3D scans cannot be used in 3D printing applications, and you certainly cannot use 3D scans to drive a new product design you want to develop. Thats why it's essential to learn what it takes to convert a 3D scan into a CAD friendly file format, which greatly enhances the accuracy and flexibility of your device development.
Real world scans from real applications in O&P digital design.
Watch over the shoulder as we do each exercise together.
All tutorials in this series give you reusable files for your work.
Learn the fundamentals of design automation using template design.
Join a community and learn from your peers and the experts.
After this training, you will have working knowledge and workflows in how to use Fusion 360 parametric CAD and Zbrush's mesh sculpting software to help you in your challenges in reverse engineering.
Intermediate training (requires working knowledge of F360 and Zbrush)
Fundamentals in creating 3D print ready files
Introduction into converting existing devices into design formats.
Foundations in file management that speed your workflow.
Create real world parts and templates that you can reuse in your future digital work.

See for yourself how learning CAD the right way and with relevant coursework can rocket you to the top of the game...
Learn about what you will get with the course, where to join and engage with the community, and how to best use your academy access.
There's lots of different softwares out there, why is Fusion 360 better than the competition? Discover an in depth comparison of all the major agnostic CAD packages, and learn which features you need to have as an O&P professional.
Using digital software for the first time can be daunting, especially if you don't see the big picture. Learn about what types of tips, tricks and mindsets you need to use when starting out with CAD design.
One of the favorite lessons from the last series is included for FREE with this course.
Learn how to create from a sample scan, a fully Re'd AFO device for changes to wall thickness, strap placement and more prior to 3D printing.
Learn how to convert a scan into a part that you can reuse in your CAD workflows, with geometry that you can interact with using product design tools.
Reverse engineer a Cover 3D scan, and turn it into a smart file that can be changed and updated in minutes after setting up the template.
